1. Installing the Bridge: To protect the wood during shipping, the bridge is wrapped in paper under the tailpiece. Carefully stand it up between the notches of the two "f-holes" to hold the strings.

2. Preparing the Bow: New horsehair is naturally smooth. Gently scratch the surface of the included rosin and rub it along the bow hair several times until it creates enough "grip" to produce sound.

3. Tensioning: Tighten the bow screw until there is a roughly 1/4-inch gap between the hair and the wood. Avoid over-tightening to protect the arbor wood's natural curve.
